Alex a “Breastman”

May 29, 2007 11:28 pm

Alex asked me to screen and review this video. Why don’t you help me too? Alex is a great musician/producer known as Capos Calderwood in SL

What ? Oh Virtual Hot Wings-yeah very clever viral marketing campaign going on. Kudos to Emperor Hand(Christopher S. Penn) and Chel Pixie(Michelle Wolverton) for helping orchestrate this fan-generated virtual CD of Hali Heron(Matthew Ebel). Many creative SLers involved on this project. I happened to sit in on Coffee with Crayon this morning and these folks were rabidly planning their marketing (being a marketer myself this stuff gets me going) campaign to help their musician-friend get greater exposure here in the Metaverse. Blabbed enough but for you detail junkies go here for your fix. :)

Oh an best of all you can sample before you buy if you go to Crayon-Virtual Thirst pavilion Fri 5/25 at 11:00 AM SLT-Hali Heron is gonna stretch his wings and chirp for y’all.

Great article here (thanks for point Chel Pixie) on RL musicians joining SL and using live performance in world to help further their musical career. One of the musicians mentioned is SL’s Hali Heron(Matthew Ebel) and will be playing special performance on 5/25 at the Crayon Virtual Thirst Pavillion. Chel also informed me of some exciting Hali Heron news that will be announced soon at Crayon. Stay tuned….

Getting my facts in order…

May 22, 2007 1:39 am

Fact 1-Last night Rich Desoto (Rich Palmer) and Cylindrian Rutabaga(Grace Buford) brought their positive upbeat songs to the Virtual Thirst pavilion. The clock is ticking down on contest to win 500k Linden and trip to San Francisco so make sure to get by there and submit your entry!
Fact 2-Cleon Goff did not wear a dress to event but a suit, hmm .
Fact 3-Rich and Cylindrian are not only quality musicians but quality people. How do I know? because they both give their time and energy to many good charity events like Relay for Life, and Angels for Ayeshe, etc.
Fact 4-There are many others in SL with charitable and generous hearts and makes me feel good to be part of that community!

Funny, seems like I heard about some tune called, “Another Man” inspired by JC Hutchins‘(JC Ripley of SL) 7th Son podiobook trilogy? Hmm hope I can get that tune in upcoming SL Notes with Hutch, er… Rip?

SLCC Music Update

I was chatting with Nethermind Bliss the other day, and she says there are some new exciting things in the works for upcoming SLCC music program. Look for Nethermind to appear on SL Notes right before SLCC to put it in “audio.”

Chillin’ the Virtual Thirst Set

My buddy an sometimes podcast partner Moshang Zhao(Jean Marais in RL)(we both live in same city in Taiwan) did a good job of bringing his Chinese-tinged chill sound to the Coke Virtual Thirst event. LoveSpirals‘ Anji Bee(SL’s Anji Riel) was there grooving along, and commented, “that she’d like Moshang to produce a track on their new CD.” There were several comments including mine and Cleon Goff(CC Chapman in RL) that’d be great to have LoveSpirals and Moshang on same bill as an SL music event. TheDiva Rockin got down with her “bad self” for some cool mixing after Mo’s set. Moshang will be doing his 3rd CD later this year of international remixes he’s done for other musicians.
